Thebrass necklaceis used to direct and count the recitation of mantras during meditation.This necklaceconsists of 108, 6mm brass beads strung in a circle to represent the cyclic nature of life. These old prayer beads are round with facets. They are also called 'worry beads' because counting and reciting verses while holding them calms people down. Brass was one of the first metals to be used for malas.Like copper, it is also conductive, making it a solid medium of energy transference and storage.The beads are strung on a tan cord and were purchased in Tibet in the 1960's.
